Vacancies: Bursar, Director of Works

Position: Bursar
Qualifications:
- A good honours degree or equivalent in Accountancy or related discipline from a recognized university as well as professionally recognized Accountancy qualification of ACA, ACMA, ACCA, I CAN from any of the following bodies.
i. Institute of Chartered Accounts of Nigeria
ii. Institute of Chartered Accounts of England and Wales
iii. Institute of Cost and Management Accounts
iv. Institute of Certified Public Accounts
v. Institute of National Accountants of Nigeria
- Possession of any relevant postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage. Applicants must also be computer literate and have working knowledge of a good accounting package. The candidate should have a minimum of fifteen (15) years post graduation cognate experience in a University or comparative institution where he/she must have served at the level of Deputy Bursar.
Responsibility:
- The Bursar is the Chief Finance Officer of the University. He is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the University. By virtue of his position, the Bursar should be able to provide the Management of the University with appropriate advice and support for all of the institution’s financial transactions.
Conditions of Service:
The Bursar is on Contiss 15 and enjoys the same conditions of service as obtainable in the Federal Universities.
Position: Director of Works
Qualifications:
- Candidates must possess a good first degree in any of the Engineering, or related disciplines with at least 15 years post qualification experience. Membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and Council of Registered Engineers in Nigerian (COREN) or any professional body relevant to the other related discipline is a pre-requisite requirement.
Responsibility:
- The Director of Works is directly, responsible to the Vice Chancellor, He has the responsibility of administering Physical Planning and Development, Transportation and General Maintenance Services in the University
Conditions of Service:
The Director of Works is on CONTISS 15 and enjoys the same condition of service as obtainable in the Federal Universities.
Salary
The salary is negotiable but attractive.
