Vacancies: Chief Financial Officer, Accountants
An indigenous and rapidly expanding oil service company with strong growth prospects is seeking to hire officers, with relevant experience, to fill the positions below within the Oil and Gas Industry.
Position: Chief Financial Officer (Ref: CFO/0411)
Reporting to the President and CEO, the role is accountable for strategic and tactical matters relating to accounting, budgeting treasury and financial planning.
Job Responsibilities:
- Define and promulgate the corporate business objectives and strategies, making sure that any finance management programs, processes and initiatives are geared towards their attainment without fail.
- Implement the corporate financial controls and auditing standards to ensure maximum utilization of it, limited financial resources within approved budgets.
- Ensure that the company has adequate financial reserves to meet contingency funding for asset acquisition outside of approved budgets as well as covering unplanned emergency situations
- Approve and authorize the funding capital and operating expense outlays for various departments in the company up to the prescribed limits beyond which they have to be presented to the CEO or Board of Directors for approval.
- Review and enhance accounting, financial management and auditing procedures to adopt new and more cost effective methods.
- Represent the company in high level industry meetings involving the heads of government regulatory commissions and banking institutions.
- Provide regular reporting to the CEO and the Board of Directors on the financial health of the company.
Qualification/Skills
- Applicant must have degree/HND in Accounting, Economics, (ICAN, CIMA is an added advantage
- Minimum of 10 years experience (with at least 2 in the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry)
- Experience in strategic planning and execution,
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost, control principles and reporting systems
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
Position: Accountants (Ref: ACT /0411)
Reporting to the CFO, the role is accountable for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and states accounting control procedures.
Job Responsibilities
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts.
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Monitor and support taxation issues.
- Develop and maintain financial data bases.
- Financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process.
- Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
- Analyze and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues,
Qualification/Skills:
- Applicant must have degree/HND in Accounting, possession of ICAN Certificate is an added advantage
- Minimum of 5 years experience (with at least 2 in the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry)
- Knowledge of accepted accounting, auditing and economic principles and practices Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations
- Candidate must be analytical with excellent planning and organizing skills Proficiency in MS Office Suite Applications.
