Position: Chief Security Officer (CSO)
Role Summary
The Chief Security Officer oversees and ensures overall physical, health and safety of people and property in compliance with health and safety regulations.
The preferred Candidate will be responsible for:
- The development, designing and implementation of preventative security standards and procedures on the premises;
- Understanding the current and future physical risks to the school and develop strategy as necessary to respond to changing risks and threats;
- Advising on the development and execution of overall Risk Management strategy for the entire school;
- Educating employees on health and safety procedures and compliance
- Ensuring that compliance to security policies is maintained; gathering key security metrics to demonstrate compliance;
- Managing the college’s relationship with outsourced security firm to ensure adherence to pre-agreed service level deliverables;
- Directing the investigation of all security breaches and disciplinary actions related to such.
Person Specification, Skills, Qualification and Work Experience
- Applicants should have a good first degree;
- should have 10 or more years work experience within the security industry with at least 5 years at a supervisory role, responsible for physical and personal security;
- Extensive technical knowledge of security technology and risk assessment;
- Superior analytical, evaluative and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Professional security certifications to practice as security personnel e.g CPP ASIS,MISN
Position: Internal Control Manager (ICM) – Middle Management
Role Summary
The Internal Control Manager ensures overall compliance with regulatory guidelines and adherence to pre-approved operational processes.
The preferred Candidate will be responsible for:
- Overall compliance with regulatory guidelines;
- Reporting and advising management on deviations from regulatory guidelines and approved operational processes;
- Conducting planned audit and spot checks;
- Preparing audit plans and following audit trails to ensure proper accountability and compliance;
- Preparing audit reports for tax auditors.
Person Specification, Skills, Qualification and Work Experience
- First degree in Accounting, Sciences or any Social sciences;
- Professional qualification e.g. ICAN and CITN;
- 10 years experience with at least 6 years in an accounting / audit firm or performing an auditory function in any organisation;
- Excellent report writing skills.
