Position: Finance and Admin Assistant

Location: Abuja

Specific Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the Project Finance Officer will coordinate activities on all l transactions
  • Prepare, sign and register payment vouchers for goods and services received
  • Carry out banking transactions as appropriate, (i.e. bank lodgements, collection of bank documents etc)
  • Maintain appropriate filling systems for payment voucher, Receipts, bank statements etc
  • Support all logistic arrangements for meeting seminars and workshops
  • Provide all needed administrative support to the project
  • Maintain inventory of assets of the project
  • Coordinate all accounting, finance and administrative functions in the Abuja office
  • In liaison with the Human Resources Department, provide human resources functions to the zonal office
  • Represent the project at meetings in Abuja with PR and other stakeholders and report appropriately.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping of all books of accounts at the Abuja office; including maintenance of the checking account, equipment and supply registers and all accounting records consistent with generally accepted accounting practice.

 

Qualification

  • Applicant must possess a degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration of its equivalent with at least one year cognate experience is required.  A master’s degree will enhance candidates’ chances. Excellent analytical interpersonal communication and computer (excel and spreadsheet) skills is also required. Knowledge of USAID.

 

Position: Driver

Location: Sokoto

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provide transportation support to staff within the State as needed and various other States for project activities,
  • Handle vehicle fueling arid maintenance, and ensure adherence to organization’s transport and security policies.

 

Qualification

  • A minimum of WAEC, valid drivers’ license and 3 years relevant experience is required. Candidate must be disciplined, honest and conversant with the Nigeria highway codes and road networks in the country. Other mechanical certificates will be added advantage. familiarity with local tradition and language is highly desirable.
