Vacancies: Financial Controller, Senior Manager, MIS & Cost Accounting
Avian Specialties Nigeria Limited a private limited liability integrated poultry company located in Ibadan, Oyo State was incorporated in Nigeria on the 5th February. 1990. Our head office is located at 1. Sabamah Close, Orita Challenge Ibadan Oyo State. We have a Central Operating and Control Unit
(Farm Office) that takes care of our 9 farms and production support infrastructure. The 9 satellite farms in several locations in Oluyole Local Government Area have a total of 91 Houses with a capacity of 1,200,000 birds and production support infrastructure which includes 2 Hatcheries, Chicken Processing Plant, cold room facilities and full-fledged feed mill and soya processing plant. We have a perfect
understanding of the poultry environment and we intend to catapult the Nigerian market into the 21st century of poultry farming supported by the relevant machinery to enhance production which we have acquired/updated. We are therefore seeking people of like minds who are willing to grow a career in poultry farming for the following positions which are ALL LOCATED IN IBADAN:
Position: Financial Controller – Code AVFC
- Reporting to the CFO, this rote involves providing leadership to the company’s financial accounting, reporting and control activities across the various business units and to ensure they are carried out efficiency, effectively and in line with best practice.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
- Post Graduate Professional qualification – ACA is compulsory
- First Degree, B.Sc from a reputable institution
- Previous Financial Control Experience with a top flight Company and/or Professional Accounting Services Firm.
- At least 15 years’ experience, with a minimum of FIVE (5) continuous year’s professional leadership experience in a senior/executive management role (such as senior manager) in a reputable organisation.
- Above average computer skills with proficiency with all MS packages; Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook, Project Manager & Access.
- Principles and practices of Farm accounting and Agro Allied Bookkeeping Technical and practical skills in financial controlling.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and enhance relationships with contractors and staff in order to I achieve work goals.
Desirable
- Postgraduate academic qualifications: such as an MBA from a top-flight business school
- Knowledge of IFRS for SMEs and Agro Allied Industry
Position: Senior Manager, MIS & Cost Accounting – Code AVSMMIS
- Reporting to the CFO, this rote involves providing leadership to the company’s Management Information System, Management Accounting, Budget and Revenue Reporting activities across the various business units and to ensure they are carried out efficiently, effectively and m line with best practice.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
- Post Graduate Professional qualification – ACA is compulsory
- First Degree, B.Sc from a reputable institution
- Previous Financial Control Experience with a top flight Company and/or Professional Accounting Services Firm.
