Vacancies: Financial Management Specialist, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist
The NEWMAP Project is essentially a sustainable land improvement and conservation operation and would target land resources: soils, vegetation, water, biodiversity and livelihood in initial seven (7) participating states in the rainforest agro-ecological Zone of Nigeria. NEWMAP Nigeria therefore, announces the following special services vacancies at the Federal Project Monitoring Unit (FPMU).
Position: Financial Management Specialist (FMS)
Requirement
- Applicants must possess a minimum qualification of B.Sc or HND in Accounting. An MBA Degree will be an added advantage. However a prospective FMS must have an ICAN certificate or National Accountant Certified with not less than 20 years post qualification experience,
- Prove of service delivery on ADB and the World Bank projects is mandatory.
Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist (MES)
Requirement
- Applicants must possess a minimum qualification of B.Sc and M.Sc in Social Science and Masters in Public Administration and must have worked in the Planning, Research and statistics Unit of government establishments with not less than 20 years post qualification experience,
- Familiarity with financial management guidelines and IDA Procurement and procedures.
Special Information
NEWMAP FPMU requires a team from a mix of MDA secondments and the open market, depending on candidates meting up with the requisite criteria. Therefore, applications from Officers currently in service as Federal government employees from relevant line Ministries are highly encouraged. But it should be noted that such an applicant, if successful, must be ready to come on board on secondment. It should also be noted that the project will only remunerate such applicants on allowances and not salaries.
