A Marine Company servicing the Oil and Gas sector is seeking highly skilled professionals for the under-listed positions in its Lagos and Port-Harcourt Offices:
Position: Inspection/Compliance Officer, Reference: ICO007
Location: Office in Lagos, Travel Offshore, West Africa & other International Locations
Description:
- Suitable candidates must have 10+ years of experience with degree from a recognized institution.
- The Compliance/Inspection Officer will be responsible for all inspection activities related to chartering of vessels and ensuring compliance with the company’s and client’s requirements the Marine Team Leader/Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Physically inspect vessels and issues reports/recommendations
- Ensure vessels meet client’s Marine, Construction, Safety, MOH and Security Standards
- Dealing with Third-Party vessel auditors and Class Societies.
- Coordinate and document detailed vessel inspections Ensure documentary compliance of vessels
- Must of previous offshore inspection experience
- Must be familiar with OVID, CMID inspections
Position: Document Controller, Reference: DC005
Location: Office Lagos/Port Harcourt
Description:
- Suitable candidates must have 5+ years of experience with degree from a recognized institution.
- The Document Controller will be responsible the compliance of all documentation related to the fleet and for all the documentation regarding reports for internal/external use reporting to the Marine Team Leader/Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a document register
- Set up and maintain documents and folders
- Filing of all correspondences with ship owners and the client, reports and vessel specification sheets
- Receive incoming documentation in a controlled manner
- Ensure documents are issued in a controlled manner within agreed time-scales
Position: Accountant, Reference: ACC006
Location: Office Lagos/Port Harcourt
Description:
- Suitable candidates must have 7+ years of experience with an Accounting Degree from a recognized institution.
- The Accountant will be responsible for all accounting activities related to the Vessel Procurement and Management Team reporting to the Marine Team Leader/Manager and CFO.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Ensure accounting and reporting deadlines are met
- Compile management accounts
- Maintain the Ledger General
- Ensure ledger accounts are reconciled
- Update cash flow daily
- Prepare bank reconciliation
- Assist with preparing budgets and forecasts
- Ensure data back-ups
- Assist in implementing accounting systems
- Must have previous experience working in the Marine, Shipping or Oil/Gas Industry
- Knowledge of accounting & ERP soft wares
- High proficiency in MS Office applications, especially MS Excel
