This client is a renowned freight forwarding and logistics company with offices in Lagos and Port-Harcourt. We are currently seeking qualified professionals to fill the positions below

 

Position: Operations Manager

 

Location: Port Harcourt Branch

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop overall operational strategy and direction for the freight forwarding teams.
  • Coordinate with relevant governmental agencies to ensure operations comply as to current rules and regulations.
  • Lead and motivate the team, drive quality and performance.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Management experience in Freight & logistics business in Nigeria,
  • Detailed knowledge of the Nigerian Customs tariff and laws.
  • Experience in managing & motivating people and teams to deliver high levels of operational and commercial performance in a multicultural environment,
  • Have experience and understanding of issues and working practices in the Nigerian freight forwarding and logistics market and have established networks in the industry.
  • Degree level qualification,
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • At least 15 years experience in the freight forwarding and logistics industry.

 

 

Position: Branch Manager

 

Location: Lagos Branch

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all staff compiles to company policies.
  • Oversee the development of new freight business, maintain and develop relationships with new and existing clients in the local and international market, and drive the business for maximum utilization of existing facilities.
  • Ensure that financial management (billing and invoicing ) and reporting for freight is carried out in accordance with company requirements.
  • Contribute to the implementation of the budget.

Requirements:

  • Senior management experience in freight & Logistics business in Nigeria.
  • Very good business development skills
  • Must have worked in a leading freight & Logistics company in Nigeria,
  • Experience in managing & motivating people and teams to deliver high levels of operational and commercial performance in a multicultural environment.
  • Have experience and understanding of issues and working practices in the Nigerian freight forwarding and logistics market and have established networks in the industry.
  • Degree level qualification.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • At least 15 years experience in the freight forwarding ‘and logistics industry.

 

 

Position: Accountant

Location: Lagos Branch

 

Responsibilities:

  • To produce timely and reliable management information reports on a monthly basis.
  • To develop and control a centralised accounting system to ensure that accounts are effectively managed.
  • To investigate variances against budgets and provide analysis of differences.
  • To perform month end for Accounts Payable, VAT, Fixed Assets and general ledger in the finance system
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and cash flow forecasts.
  • To prepare the quarterly VAT return.
  • Hold monthly meetings with management to discuss the budgetary position and agree action plans where required

 

Requirements:

  • Degree level qualification in Accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of peach tree accounting system.
  • Good knowledge of budgeting and forecasting issues and techniques.
  • Sufficient work experience in suitable organizations
