Vacancies: Project Accountant, Store Officer
Our Client, a Reputable Engineering, Construction, Maintenance and Multidiscipline Contracting with diversified operations due to recent expansion require the services of the following candidates as listed below in their Kano State Office.
Position: Project Accountant
Number of Required Persons: (2)
Qualification/Requirements:
- Candidates must possess BSC/HND Accounting, Banking & Finance (Second class lower) from any reputable Institution.
- Membership of relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage.
- Working Expenence-2-3 years.
Such candidate:
- Must be very conversant with accounting packages.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be confident, hardworking, honest and result oriented.
- Must have good command of written and spoken English.
- Must be able to maintain proper accounting records.
- Must be ready to learn (Self-development).
- Must ensure consistent and quality financial and management reporting.
Responsibilities:
Working with the Project Manager and reporting to the Chief Accountant to provide accounting and financial support in the areas of project performance metrics, project cost, reporting requirement and providing field accounting support.
Key responsibilities include but aren’t limited to the following:
- Gather, analyze and report on operating expenses mainly for the projects.
- Reconciling all project costs and all project billings.
- Provide various field accounting functions.
- Preparation of operating expense accruals in a timely and accurate manner
- Preparation of month end closure and trial balances.
- Prepare monthly reconciliation statements.
- Prepare payroll related accounting transactions.
- Ensure effective operation of Company internal Control Mechanism
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the management.
Position: Store Officer
No of Required Person: (1)
Qualification/Requirements:
- Candidates must have BSC/HND in Purchasing and Supply, Business Admin. Engineering (Second class lower) from any reputable institution.
- Working Experience- 2-3 years in Store Management.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must have materials knowledge.
- Must command good quality measurement and conversions.
- Must have good sense of arrangement of things in a certain order.
Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include but aren’t limited to the following:
- To receive, store and control receipt, unloading and placement in assigned storage location.
- To check material received quantities and specification against order documents.
- To manage space and determine storage methods according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and company safety procedures.
- To maintain stock level of materials to ensure continuous availability.
- To maintain supplies of materials in compliance with storage safety regulations.
- To issue/distribute materials, products, parts and supplies based on company procedure.
- To recommend disposal of excess, defective or absolute stock.
- To prepare weekly/monthly report.
- To control the fixed assets in the location assigned.
- Essential activities include performing physical tasks, handling clerical/admin functions, controlling/reviewing /checking machinery/equipment/vehicle usage, supervising/directing /deciding safety and quality responsibilities.
