Vacancies: Senior Draughtsman, Treasurer

We are a World Class Manufacturing Company with a modern automated Fabrication and Galvanizing Steel Plant in Nigeria. We currently require the services of experienced and articulate candidates to fill the following positions:

 

 

Position:     Senior Draughtsman

Qualification, Experience, Skills and Competency:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering field.
  • Three to Five (5 – 7) years experience in engineering design and drafting, preferably in the Steel industry
  • Advanced knowledge of design and drafting techniques engineering drawing and computer-aided drafting and drawing (CAOD).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, including machining, fabricating and assembly processes, planning basic geometric dimensioning and tolerance and metallurgy’s in a manufacturing engineering company.
  • Have HSE awareness and able to demonstrate and communicate at all levels and show leadership skills.
  • Good knowledge of regulatory standards and codes for relevant sectors (telecom, power, oil and gas, construction etc).
  • Awareness of general engineering and production safety requirements
  • Sound Knowledge of 2 and 3D concepts and use of 2 and 3D Cad Systems
  • Ability to generate blueprint drawings related to production layouts and plans.
  • Advanced knowledge of Auto CAD.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise all fabrication drawings that include General arrangement assembly and piece part drawings.
  • Incorporate client specifications/ basic engineering detail.
  • Prepare drawings, reflecting any changes to original specification
  • Prepare drawing, material list and schedules.
  • Accurate interception of design requirements. Decide application to use for drawing – 2D or 3D modeling
  • Create drawings (shop drawing and erection drawing) using CAD.
  • Create and debug CNC programs on a basic level using existing CAM system.
  • Work with engineering team to ensure customers detailed structural designs are in compliance with company specifications and operating philosophy.
  • Carry out other duties assigned.

 

 

Position:     Treasurer

 

Qualification, Experience, Skills and Competency:

  • A first degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a business related discipline from a from a reputable university
  • Relevant professional qualifications (ACA, CFA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA etc.).
  • Minimum of five (5) years treasury experience.
  • Knowledge of local and international accounting standards
  • Good understanding of long and short term cash forecast models.
  • Good understanding of treasury and finance-related concepts and applications including
  • Liability management.
  • Short and long term funding, sources of funds and financial instruments
  • Cash management
  • Interest rate risk management
  • Capital raising mechanisms
  • Investment and portfolio management.
  • Good understanding of the local financial and economic environment, the Nigerian banking system and capital market operations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and high level of accounting packages and treasury management applications.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office productivity tools
  • Attention-to-detail, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Ability to multi-task and function effectively under pressure
  • High sense of responsibility, dependability and accountability.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the company’s daily cash flows/ liquidity and ensure availability of funds to meet the company’s operations and all likely contingencies.
  • Prepare periodic cash forecast and cash flow analysis.
  • Periodically reconcile the company’s cashbook to bank statement and ensure accurate reporting of cash position.
  • Ensure proactive and accurate reporting of the company’s liquidity position.
  • Assist in the development of strategies to ensure optimal management if the company’s liquidity position and its attendant risks
  • Process cash receipts and disbursements.
  • Administer petty cash/ float system in line with established policies.
  • Manage the company’s excess cash and ensure cash is channeled into appropriate investment instruments
  • Analyze and report on investment portfolio strategy, yields and investment instruments.
  • Manage the company’s interest rate and foreign exchange risks.
  • Liaise with banks to determine the company’s loans and borrowings portfolio analyze and report on existing loan facilities and institutions and government agencies
  • Ensure compliance to defined treasury policies and procedures
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Chief Finance Officer.
