Position: Senior Internal Auditor
Qualification:
- (ACA/ ACCA/IIA) plus a degree, 12 years post ACA experience preferably in a multi-faceted sector.
- To plan, organize and carry out internal audit function, including the preparation of audit plan which fulfils the responsibilities of the department, scheduling and assigning work and estimating resources needs
- Thorough knowledge of the principles, procedures and practices of accounting and financial records and transactions.
- Good knowledge of audit procedures, including planning, techniques, test and sampling methods involved in conducting audit.
- Good knowledge of computerized accounting and auditing record keeping systems
- Ability to maintain current knowledge of developments related to business matter of interest to internal audit, particularly legislation changes and developments as they affect properties, and new auditing techniques and practices.
- Ability to establish and retain effective working relationships with other property and hospitality companies’ staff and to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
- To coordinate in conjunction with the General Manager (Accounts and Taxation) coverage with the external auditors and ensure that each party is not only aware of the other’s work but also well briefed on areas of concern.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
Position: Accountant
Requirements:
- Candidates should have B.Sc/HND (Accounting) with not less than 8 years experience in a manufacturing industry, computer literate and not above 40 years.
- Preparation of Profit and Loss Accounts, Balance sheet and fund flow statements. Budget. Budgetary control analysis, exception reports.
- Preparation and submission of the Units accounts, for the regular yearly audit by External Auditors
- Maintenance of the fixed assets registers.
- Periodic assets verification and stock taking, responsible for all bank matters, import and export documentations, filing all tax returns and the statutory obligations
- Preparation and verification of bank reconciliation.
