Vacancies: Senior Purchasing/Procurement Officer, Senior Legal Officer
The West African Examinations Council, a sub-regional organization responsible for the conduct of a variety of examinations in the English-speaking Wrest African countries, invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the positions below in its Nigeria National Office and Lagos Department of its Headquarters Research Division.
Position: Senior Purchasing/Procurement Officer
Qualifications and Experience
- Applicants should possess a minimum of Bachelors Degree (at least Second Class Lower Division) from a recognized University and must be Associate Members of the Institute of Purchasing & Supply Management of Nigeria
- Should have a minimum of three years post professional qualification experience. Applicants must also have a minimum of six years post professional qualification experience.
Position: Senior Legal Officer
Qualifications and Experience
- Applicants should possess a minimum of LL.B Degree (at least Second Class Lower Division) and a B.L.
- Must be members of the Nigerian Bar Association with a minimum of three years post qualification experience in Litigation
- Applicants for the post of Senior Legal Officer must have a minimum often years post qualification experience and an LL.M from a recognized University.
Applicants for all positions must:
- Be able to use personal computers, office software packages and have knowledge of web-based systems
- Be self motivated and able to write good reports; analyse and review research reports; be able to work extra hours with little or no supervision
- Be a team player with good Inter personal skills; be open and able to lead change Possess influencing skills
- Be an organizer/planner with ability to be flexible and a finisher with ability to successfully implement ideas
- Possess analytical and communication skills
NB: Applicants for all positions must (in addition to their degrees and professional qualifications) possess five credits including English Language and Mathematics at a sitting in WASSCE/SSCE/GCE “O” Level or six credits including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings in WASSC’E/SSCE/GCE “O” Level.
Applicants should not be more than 30 years of age as at the close of applications except those for the positions of Senior Purchasing/ Procurement Officer, Senior Legal Officer and Senior Public Affairs Officer who should not be more than 35 years.
