Vacancies: System Audit and Control Officer, Information Technology Officer

Position: System Audit and Control Officer
Duties:
- Develop and implement a risk-based IT Audit Strategy in compliance with IT Audit standards to ensure that key areas are included
- Plan specific IT audits to determine whether information systems are protected, controlled and provide value to the organization
- Conduct IT audits in accordance with IT audit standards to achieve planned audit objectives
- Report all audit findings and make recommendations to key stakeholders for effecting change when necessary
- Conduct follow up or prepare timely status reports to ensure that appropriate actions are taken by management
- Reports directly to the Head, Internal Audit and Control.
Qualifications/Skill Requirements
- Strong knowledge of IT Audit and Assurance Standards, Guidelines & Tools, Techniques, Code of Professional Ethics and other applicable standards
- An IT Risk Management/Assessment Concepts, tools and techniques in an Audit context
- Strong knowledge of control objectives and controls related to information systems.
- Knowledge of audit planning and audit project management techniques, including follow up
- Knowledge of fundamental business processes (e.g. purchasing, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable) including relevant IT
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations which affect the scope, evidence, collection and preservation, and frequency of audits
- Knowledge of evidence collection techniques (e.g. observation, inquiry, inspection, interview, data analysis) used to gather, protect and preserve audit evidence
- Knowledge of reporting and communication techniques.
- Knowledge of audit quality assurance systems and frameworks
- Knowledge of IT architecture related to data, applications and technology (e.g. web based applications, web services).
- Candidates must possess B.SC/HND in Accounting, Computer Science from any reputable institution
- A Masters Degree in the same discipline is an added advantage.
- Must be a member of Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) with not less than 5 years working experience in the Audit Department
- The candidate should not be more than 40 years of age
- Good ICT skill is a basic requirement
Position: Information Technology Officer
Duties
- Database Management/Programming and Software Development (2 Positions)
- Proficiency in the use of Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Programming and Software Development such as Java, C#. Net, VB.Net, Oject Oriented Analysis & Design, PHP
- Proficiency in the use of Access and Excel
- Networking (1 Position)
- Lan Management
- Network Designs using CISCO and other networking device
- Proficiency in Routing and switching technology
- Good Understanding of VPN technology
- In-depth knowledge of windows servers and services
- The Officers will report directly to the Head, Information Technology.
Personalities/Competences/Qualifications
- Strong ability to work effectively in a team
- Reporting, Writing and strong presentation skill
- Adaptability
- Candidates must possess B.SC/HND Computer Science from any reputable institution with not less than 5 years working experience
- A Masters Degree in the same discipline is an added advantage
- The candidate should not be more than 40 years of age
- IT Professional qualifications is a strong advantage
