Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of BURSAR and UNIVERSITY LIBRARIAN of the Plateau State University, BOKKOS. The Governing Council of the University has therefore decided in accordance with the law establishing the Plateau state University wishes to commence the processes for the appointment of qualified candidates to fill up the vacancies:

Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must possess the following:
- A good first degree in Accounting, Economics or Business Administration
- Members of any of the following Professional Accountancy bodies:
- Institute of Chartered Accounts of Nigeria.
- Association of National Accountant of Nigeria.
- Association of Corporate and Certified Accountants.
- Institute of Chartered Accountants of United Kingdom, Scotland or Ireland (UK).
- Institute of Cost and Management Accountants.
- Candidates should have at least fifteen (15) years cognate post-qualification working experience in a university or similar Institution.
B. Duties
The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the University and shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and control of the financial affairs of the University.

Interested candidates who meet requisite qualifications and experience as specified below are invited to apply:
Qualifications and Experience
- Candidates for this post must be professionally qualified and practicing librarians; possess a good honors degree in Library Science from a recognized University, plus a higher degree (preferably Ph.D)
- With at least 15 (fifteen) years relevant experience, preferably in a University or other institutions of higher learning; have contributed to knowledge through research and publications in reputable journals, as well as possess proven records of sound administrative leadership;
- Must be ICT compliance;
- Not be below the rank of a Deputy Librarian;
- Not be more than 60 years of age or 65 years in the case of a Professor on assumption of duty.
Duties:
The University Librarian shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the overall administration of the University Library, its branches and extension and for providing library services for the entire University community.
Tenure:
The tenure of the University Librarian, as a Principal Officer of the University, is for five (5) years.
Salary and Conditions of Service
The successful applicant will be placed on CONUASS 7 with relevant fringe benefits, and will equally enjoy all allowances normally attached to the position of Principal Officers in Nigerian Universities.
Computer Literacy:
Candidate must possess evidence of computer literacy and a demonstrable ability in the use of computer and access to the internet.
