Our client is a new hospital located in Okija, Anambra State, Nigeria, built and equipped according to world-class international standards and being developed to be one of the world’s foremost pediatric health-care institutions. The Hospital aims to be Nigeria’s leading health-care centre dedicated to advancing children’s health through the integration of patient care and research.

 

To successfully achieve this aim, the Board has identified the immediate need to recruit competent and suitably qualified professionals to fill various positions within the Hospital. Successful medical candidates will be trained to use modern equipment and current literature to deliver evidence-based health-care.

Position: Administration Officer (OH 009)

 

Reporting to the HR and Administration Manager, the successful candidate will have responsibility for ensuring the provision of timely and qualitative administrative and support services to the Hospital. In particular, he/she will coordinate the general administration, facilities, property management and procurement functions of the Hospital.

 

Key responsibilities will be to:

  • Coordinate the provision and management of administration services e.g. hospital office supplies and consumables, equipment, mail, and catering services etc.
  • Oversee general administration support, fleet management/logistics, procurements, facilities, branch development, site acquisitions and property management, as well as contract administration and project management.
  • Oversee the monitoring, tracking and maintenance of hospital equipment, utilities, facilities and other property/real estate and develop suitable procedures and systems to optimise and manage the Hospital’s facilities.
  • Provide efficient facilities management and coordinate all maintenance services and repairs pertaining to hospital equipments.
  • Establish strategic service provider partnerships with vendors.
  • Proactively anticipate materials/property requirements to minimize delays or disruptions in service delivery.
  • Ensure cost efficient and transparent procurement processes as well as accurate documentation of all procurement activities.
  • Oversee the vendor selection, evaluation and negotiation process for transparency and also ensure quoted prices are competitive.
  • Monitor, manage and report on the performance of the facility management contractor, vendors and suppliers to ensure their output is aligned with agreed specifications, SLAs and quality.

 

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any discipline. Relevant professional qualification(s) will be an advantage.
  • 3-4 years’ post-qualification experience in similar role.
  • Proven experience in the implementation of general services functions such as facilities management, safety, security and procurement.
  • Exhibit good communication, relationship management and networking skills.
  • Possess excellent negotiation, decision making, planning and execution skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.

 

 

Position: Medical Laboratory Scientist 1 (OH 0010)

 

Key Requirements

  • A good MBBS Degree in Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS / AMLSCN) from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as Medical Laboratory Scientist in Government and /or similar establishments.
  • Registration with MLSCN

 

 

Position: Medical Laboratory Technician (OH 0011)

 

Key Requirements

  • 5 GCSEs A-C or equivalent, MLT (Medical Laboratory Technician Board) Certificate, registered with MLSCN as a Technician.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as Medical Laboratory Technician in Government and/or similar establishments.
  • MLT Certificate, as well as registration with MLSCN.
