The Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution was established in January, 2000 primarily as a research centre, a think-tank and an agency to strengthen Nigeria’s capacity for the promotion of Peace, Conflict Prevention, Management and Resolution with a vision to be Africa’s hub for policy –relevant Research and capacity-building in Peace and Conflict Management Strategies and interventions.

 

In view of the enormous responsibilities and challenges in achieving this vision, institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution therefore seeks to recruit the services of Research Officers with cognate experience in carrying out Peace Research activities.

 

Position:     Asst. Chief Research Officer:

GL 13 (Contiss 11) Code No. 4-11

Qualification:

• A good honours degree, plus a higher degree preferably a Ph.D in relevant field of Social Sciences and at least three years of post Ph.D working research experience and some demonstrated capacity for research or six years of post Master Degree in the said relevant discipline.

 

 

Position:     Principal Research Officer:

GL 12 (Contiss 10) Code No. 5-10

Qualification:

• A good honours degree, plus a higher degree preferably a Ph.D in relevant field of Social Sciences and at least two years of post Ph.D working research experience and some demonstrated capacity for research or five years of post Master Degree in the said relevant discipline.

 

 

Position:     Senior Research Officer:

GL 10 (Contiss 9) Code No. 6-9

Qualification:

• A good honours degree, plus a higher degree preferably a Ph.D in relevant field of Social Sciences and at least one year of post Ph.D working research experience and some demonstrated capacity for research or four years of post Master Degree in the said relevant discipline.
