Vacancies: CAD 3D Administrator, Draftsman-Offshore Structures
Saipem Contracting Nigeria Limited (SCNL) is a subsidiary of SAIPEM S.PA., a global leader in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Project Management in the Energy Sector. Due to increasing workload and expansion of our offshore activities in Nigeria, we are seeking for highly qualified, pro-active, fast learning, well organized and motivated Personnel to reinforce our team.
Position: CAD 3D Administrator (CAD3D)
Responsibilities
- Assist project Team in Evaluating cost/schedule impact of Client technical specifications related to CAD 3D Environment.
- Create Project specification for 3D software set up.
- Set up and support 3D Project (all tools for 3D design).
- Prepare and follow up discipline catalogues expediting missing information for components and relevant dimensions.
- Set up sets for isometric extraction.
- Set up sets for discipline drawing extraction.
- Set up MTO extraction for Material Management Systems.
- Analyse Client technical specifications, within his area of responsibility, in order to ensure standardization and project uniformities through the project.
- Analyse, within his area of responsibility, criticalities in 3D Model development and propose recovery activities.
- Support Construction activity in tools set up (Spooling tools).
- Assure as-built implementation in 3D Model.
- Provide support to projects and procurements to solve non standards problems.
- Suggest the modification of department work flow and department technical standards.
- Participate in the modification of company work flow and technical standardize.
- Collect project feed backs for continuous improvement implementation (Lesson Learned).
- Participate in vendor and outsourcing qualification.
- Develop and scout for tools for simplified design activities.
Required Professional Skills
- Knowledge of tools related to 2D and 3D modeling activities.
- Ability to analyze engineering documents (e.g. Instruction to Tender and subcontractor documents etc.).
- Knowledge of main international Discipline standards, codes and regulations.
- Ability to analyse dedicated Project requirements in terms of local standards and codes and to identify proper implementation actions.
Qualification and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Subsea Engineering industry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience undertaking 3D modeling
- Minimum – first Degree or equivalent in relevant Engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is mandatory
Position: Draftsman-Offshore Structures (OFFDFTS)
Responsibilities
- Perform 2D drafting tasks and simple 3D modeling tasks assigned by the Offshore Structural Project Specialist Lead, Engineers and Designers.
- Interface with other Draftsmen and report on a continuous basis to Offshore Structural Project Specialist Lead, Engineers and Designers.
- Carry simple 3D modeling tasks with Tekla (or other similar 3D CAD tools, as requested).
- Carry out design drawings for primary, secondary and tertiary structures.
- Prepare bill of materials or material take off for requisitions.
- Maintains drawing register on a project-by-project basis which catalogues all drawings and sketches issued.
- Maintains drawing register on a project-by-project basis .
- Update the documents produced after reviews by other disciplines (inter-discipline checks) or external stakeholders on the project (Client, Yards, Third party review, etc).
Required Professional Skills
- Detailed understanding of offshore structures like Jacket, Deck, Module and other miscellaneous structures.
- Knowledge of Discipline engineering design criteria, methods and workflows from conceptual phase up to site engineering phase.
- Ability to perform and coordinate Project engineering documents production activities, check review and design documents, prepared either internally or by Vendors.
- Knowledge of Discipline engineering design criteria, methods and workflows from conceptual phase up to site engineering phase.
- Ability to define the technical documents set based on Project quantities and scope of work.
- Ability to perform and coordinate Project engineering documents production activities and to check and review design documents, prepared either internally or by Vendors.
Qualification and Experience
- Good working knowledge and proficient in AutoCAD or equivalent software as well as detailed Knowledge of tools related to 2D and 3D modeling activities.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Marine and Offshore Structure drafting (Structural & Pipelines) in Offshore Oil & Gas/Marine industry.
- A Bachelors degree in Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering is Mandatory.
