Vacancies: Chief of Party, Trade Policy and Capacity Building Manager

We are currently seeking qualified personnel to join our team for an anticipated USAID project in trade and transport. The roles we are seeking are the following:
Position: Chief of Party (COP)
The Cop will help ensure the project’s success serve as the primary USAID/Nigeria as well as the Nigeria and other partners. This be responsible for the program achieving target results, and will identify issues and risks related to program implementation in a timely manner and suggest appropriate technical program adjustments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall management, strategic direction, and financial oversight for project, and represent the project to all key stakeholders
- Provide technical expertise and leadership in organizational development
- Supervise and support the development of technical and administrative staff, and oversee sub-contractor relationships
- Monitor progress towards project objectives, prepare annual work plans and other deliverable to USAID as required, and ensure overall project compliance with USAID and Deloitte regulations
Qualifications
- Applicant Masters Degree in economics, marketing, or trade
- Minimum of 15 years experience working on trade on trade issues in developing countries, of which at least 5 years should be in Africa
- Overseas
- Excellent communication skills, overseas development experience and a thorough understanding of trade issues in West Africa and particularly in Nigeria
- Prior Chief of Party experience is desirable
- Previous USAID experience mandatory
- Required English language fluency.
Position: Trade Policy and Capacity Building Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead technical advisor on trade policy and capacity building manage, design and implement technical plans and procedures to achieve program tasks and objectives
- Assist host country governments in implementing trade policy reforms-preferably in areas relat.ng to trade facilitation and export development and promotion of agricultural products
- Supervise teams of short- and Song-term consultants
- Assist the project Chief of Party with administrative oversight of project staff and representing the project with stakeholders, government officials and donors
Qualifications
- Applicants must possess a Masters Degree in economics, business administration, marketing, or trade
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working on trade issues in Nigeria
- Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated experience in the use of training and information dissemination to transfer concepts and skills
- Demonstrable experience in supervising teams of short- and long-term consultants to realize knowledge transfer in the public and private sectors
