Position: Chief Operating Officer, (Chemical Process Facility)
Nigerian or Expatriate
Strategic repositioning of our chemical process facility in Nigeria has reached a level where we are now in search of an experienced chemical process professional with senior level production and corporate management experience. It will be the responsibility of the chosen candidate to sustain the transformation of the enterprise to global best practice and maintain its competitive position in West and Central Africa.
Qualification:
- The preferred educational background should include a first degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Chemistry and a Masters Degree in one of those disciplines, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, Production Management or Project Management.
- A period of production operations experience of say three to five years followed by three or more in production supervisory and management before advancement to corporate management in top class chemical process facilities is expected to provide the desired skill set for a suitable candidate
- Experience in Nigeria or other emerging market economies will be helpful but not a mandatory requirement. Previous experience in commissioning of greenfield, expansion or turnaround projects will be considered of added value.
