Position: Commercial Assistant
Location: (based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
Duties and Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this position role as summarized below:
- Assist in the collation of market intelligence information and competition profiling on a regular basis.
- Market company product and service category to oil companies and service companies
- Develop plans for market penetration into the applicable markets within company core business.
- Develop company brochures and profiles strategic to suit company marketing needs
- Maintain various reports regarding competitors in the Nigerian oil and gas market.
- Distribute reports to Commercial Manager in coordination with correct reporting format
- Assisting in writing and editing sales and marketing materials, which include articles, presentations etc.
- Providing assistance in creating and enhancing the marketing campaign list.
- Develop marketing campaigns; prepare marketing strategies, plans and objectives.
- Analyze, provide and present market dynamics, size, opportunities & risks to the business.
- Research competitors and competitor products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share and pricing
- Be a key member of the central Commercial & Marketing team.
- Any other responsibilities or projects as delegated by the Business Development Manager

Education
- Applicant must possess Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Social Sciences with a minimum of 6 years related work experience in the marine or oil and gas industry Possession of an MBA will be an added advantage.
Language: Fluent in English
Computer Knowledge
Applicant should have strong computer knowledge with a focus on MS Office tools/packages and Oracle.
General
Knowledgeable in bid preparation, negotiation etc is compensation is competitive and depends on experience and qualification.
