Applications are invited from qualified candidates to fill the vacant positions of the Director and Assistant Directors of Information and Communication Technology.
Position: Director
Salary Scale: CONTISS13
Qualifications:
Candidates must be IT professional with University Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or Information Technology plus a minimum of 12 years experience for Directors and 10 years for Assistant Directors, 6 of which must be spent at Senior Management position.
Other requirements for these positions include strong and convincing personality, excellent communication skills, people and team management skills, cognate experience in internet-based implementation of integrated university administration system, spanning e-registration, e-library, e-exams, e-results, e-transcripts, e-payments, website development and maintenance, networking and internet connectivity, etc. The right persons must have adequate and a good working knowledge of a number of languages, including Visual Basic, Java and Java- Script, PnP, Oracle, HTML and XML, etc.

The Director will be the head of the IT functions in the University. Responsibility profile will include day-to-day management of the ICT Directorate, provision of ICT services and training to all stakeholders.
