Position: Human Capacity Development (Ref: PM/01)
Required qualifications and experience:
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years as Project Manager with experience in organizing and coordinating human capacity development projects particularly large scale development possibly in the power sector
Qualification:
- PMI, A degree from a recognized Tertiary Institution,
- A second degree is added advantage.
Job Summary/Objective:
- Responsible for organizing seminars, trainings, workshops, industrial exchanges (local and international) and conferences
- Prepare business case or business feasibility report
- Develop and monitor project delivery of capacity building initiatives
- Execute detailed project management strategizing, planning and reporting.
- Secure partnerships for programmes and events
- Monitor and allocate resources to maximize project execution and reduce cost of implementation
- Measure the team performance
- Maintain control of project expenditures to avoid cost overruns
- Ensure sustainable profitability
Key performance Indicators:
- In-depth knowledge and experience in project planning tools including MS Project
- Knowledge of business and industry capacity building gaps – preferably across multiple industries with specific experience in the power industry
- Experience in the company pre-sales initiatives including proposal preparation
- Understanding of basic key business principles and process including financial controls, logistics processes and costing principles
- Experience in business and process system consulting
Position: Lines and Wires (Ref: PM/02)
Required qualifications and experience:
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years as Project Manager with at least two relevant power lines and wires project complete life cycles
Qualification:
- PMI, A relevant degree from a recognized Tertiary Institution, A second degree is added advantage.
Job Summary/Objective:
- Understand the engineering requirement for line construction activities at various voltages (330Kv, 132Kv, 33Kv, 11Kv, 0.415Kv)
- Develop and monitor project delivery for projects involving lines and wires
- Prepare business case or business feasibility report
- Execute detailed project management strategizing, planning and reporting.
- Monitor and allocate resources to maximize project execution and reduce cost of implementation
- Measure the team performance on projects
- Maintain control of project expenditures to avoid cost overruns
Key performance Indicators:
- In-depth understanding of project management process including project estimating and budgeting, resource management and change management
In-depth knowledge and experience in project planning tools including MS Project - Power industry knowledge is an advantage
- Delivery on proposals and marketing initiatives
- Understanding of key business principles and process including financial controls, logistics processes and costing principles
- Preferably experience in a company configuration and / or a company technical documentation development
