Vacancies: Junior Interior Designer, Project Coordinator

 

Vacancies exist in the following positions for qualified candidates:

 

Position: Junior Interior Designer

 

Responsibilities:

You will take the lead in many situations, preparing the ground work and carrying our tasks to allow the Creative Director focus on the job at hand, producing functional and unique interiors and delivering projects on time and within budget.

 

Typical work activities include:

 

§ Documenting client briefs to ensure that the company has a clear understanding of what the client is looking for

 

§ Taking measurements of sites to validate and produce architectural drawings

 

§ Producing accurate architectural drawings including elevations

 

§ Creating space plans

 

§ Creating mood boards

 

§ Creating a bill of quantities with the Project Manager

 

§ Sourcing for materials, furnishing and accessories to meet the client’s needs

 

§ Providing artisans with detailed drawings and descriptions to produce local furniture and fittings

 

§ Liaising with Client throughout the project life cycle to ensure vision is delivered

 

§ Liaising with Project Manager throughout the project life cycle to ensure vision is delivered

 

§ Quality control in all areas of delivery to ensure that project vision is met

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of B.Sc in any related filed
  • 1-3 year experience.
  • Between N12000000 t0 N18000000 per annum

 

 

Position: Project Coordinator

 

Job Description:

 

As the Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of all aspects of the Interior Design Project i.e. on time and within budget.

 

Typical Work Activities

 

You will act as the keeper of the project schedule ensuring that all required activities are identified, all milestones recognized and all risks mitigated to deliver the client’s vision and allow the creative team focus on the job of delivering a functional and unique space for the client. Typical work activities include.

 

§ Identifying all activities that need to be completed to deliver the project

 

§ Creating a project schedule with milestones and resource allocations

 

§ Working with the Creative Director, design team and external contractors to produce Bill of Quantities

 

§ Working with the Design team to commission artisans and schedule their deliverables

 

§ Sourcing and procurement of materials

 

§ Checking on artisans and suppliers to ensure that they are meeting their scheduled deliveries

 

§ Supervising artisans and suppliers on site to ensure they are delivering and working to specification

 

§ Quality control on the site and ensuring that issues are identified and dealt with by the appropriate parties

 

§ Liaising with the client and the design team throughout the life of the project

 

§ Producing a project report at the end of each project

 

§ Working with accountant to ensure that artisans and suppliers are paid and the project stays within budget

 

You will have a good memory and a good head for descriptions and numbers. You will show good knowledge of the Microsoft suite, particularly Excel and Word and you will be good at using computers. Your time prioritization and organizational skills must be beyond reproach and you must be able to juggle multiple, high-pressure projects and tasks without missing a beat. Use of AutoCAD would be an added advantage.

 

 

Qualifications and Requirements:
