Position:     Marketing Manager

(Department of Marketing)

Reports to: CEO

 

The job is also performance target driven and remuneration will be commensurate with performance. Condition of service will be competitive and offers opportunities for growth. Training programs both local and international, will be provided for the successful candidate.

 

Job Summary

  • The Marketing Manager will manage the company’s overall marketing and strategic planning activities.
  • The individual will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies in dose cooperation with the
  • Product Development Department to deliver measurable results. S/he will manage the Market Intelligence process to drive the company’s growth strategies, evaluating customer research, market conditions, competitor data, and implement Marketing Ran changes as needed.
  • The individual will also oversee the advertising, PR and promotional activities.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

Marketing and Strategy

  • Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of company’s strategic objectives, market characteristics, and cost and mark-up factors
  • Design, implement, effect new methods and tools to continuously improve company market knowledge and understanding
  • Develop pricing strategies, balancing company’s objectives and customer satisfaction
  • Evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections
  • Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services, working with external contractors
  • Design appropriate market research projects that address key business issues. Present research results, translating statistical data into recommendations for internal stakeholders
  • Collect and analyze information on potential customers, competitors, and industry partners as well as overall market and regulatory dynamics Interact directly with management, to provide business intelligence based on research
  • Evaluate customer research, market conditions, competitor activities and implement marketing plans
  • Consult with Product Development on product specifications such as design, color, and packaging
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a Social Media Strategy as well as customer service standards, policies and procedures,

 

Advertising

  • Contract and supervise external contractors in the design, layout, production and distribution of advertising and promotional materials for company’s products and services
  • Track and evaluate market reactions to advertising programs, pricing policy, and product packaging and formulation to ensure the timely adjustment of marketing strategy and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions

 

Sales

  • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and distributors to manage product distribution, establishing distribution networks and developing distribution strategies
  • Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, and production managers, to market company’s products and services
  • Use sates forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, lines, or services analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.
  • Manage relationships with retailers of company’s products

 

Management:

  • Provide coaching and guidance to subordinates in the performance of their duties and functions

Education and Experience

  • Business or Mandating related Degree or Equivalent Professional Qualification
  • 4-6 years of marketing experience
  • Experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies Technical marketing skills
  • Relevant industry knowledge
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
