Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Location: Sokoto
Specific Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of the project Manager and guidance of M&E Coordinator, the M&E Officer will be responsible for the design, implementation and supervision of monitoring and evaluation activities for SRH/Family planning /MNCH/Malaria activities at the LGA and state levels with primary focus on community-based activities.
- Coordinate and provide technical assistance for the implementation of M&E activities for the SRH/Family planning /MNCH/Malaria projects at the LGA and states levels and strengthen community involvement and participation in SRH/Family planning /MNCH/Malaria activities.
- Work directly with the implementing partners (community-based organizations and community based development agents) to facilitate the implementation of high quality M&E system for SRH/Family planning/MNCH/Malaria activities.
- Work closely with other staff to ensure synergy relevant to the implementation and documentation of the SRH/Family planning/MNCH/Malaria activities in four North Western States.
- Develop, review and ensure correct implementation of the SRH/Family planning/MNCH/Malaria activities as a subset of national M&E plan.
- Ensure that M&E strategies are implemented according to plan
- Develop and/or adapt, monitor the use of and inform necessary modification to M&E tools.
- Support timely and accurate data flow, prepare and review reports from sub-recipients, program staff, etc.
Qualification
- Applicants must possess MBBS with an MPH or Master’s degree in social sciences, pharmacy or related field with at least 3-4 years post NYSC experience, which must include at least a minimum of 3 years experience in monitoring and Evaluation in SRH/Family planning/MNCH/Malaria programs. Also required is working with local partners, including CBOs.
- Experience with USAID funded programs will be preferred. Familiarity with local tradition and language is highly desirable. Experience must reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above.
Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Location: Abuja
Specific Responsibilities
- The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, under supervision of the Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator, will assist in design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities at the States and LGA levels with primary focus on the community based activities.
- The M&E Officer will work with the local implementing partners to ensure that monitoring and evaluation activities are appropriate and meet the donor and project’s M&E needs
- Work with local partners to support the correct implementation and use of monitoring and evaluation tools, and adherence to complete, correct and timely reporting
- Conduct routine monitoring visits to project sites, including the conduct of data quality assurance using standard tools, assist in the preparation of quarterly reports and provide supportive supervision
- Provide direct technical assistance and capacity building in the design and implementation of the program/project monitoring and evaluation activities In the communities served.
- Work with local partners to support the correct implementation and use of monitoring and evaluation tools, and adherence to complete,correct and timely reporting as well as prepare and review reports from sub-recipients, program staff etc.
- Participate in project assessments evaluations and design teams when requested.
- Represent and make presentations at professional meetings and conferences related to Monitoring am) Evaluation activities.
Qualification
- Applicant must possess MBBS with an MPH or Master’s degree in social sciences, pharmacy or .related field with at least 3-4 years post National Youth Service experience, which must include at least, a minimum of 3 years in Monitoring and Evaluation in reproductive health and HIV/AIDS programs in developing countries. Also experience working with local, partners, including NGOs and CBOs is required. Experience with Global Fund/USAID funded programs will be preferred. Experience must reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above.
