Monitoring & Evaluation Officer at Community Action for Popular Participation (CAPP)

Community Action for Popular Participation (CAPP) is a membership, voluntary, non-religious, non-ethnic, non-governmental and not for profit, community focused organization established in 1993. Its functions are to build the capacity of CBOs, CSOs, and members in the area of Education, budget tracking, community peace building, gender, popular participation and democracy.

We have branch offices in Minna, Birnin Kebbi, Jos, Kaduna, Katsina, Bauchi, Gombe and a head office in Abuja.

 

As a result of a special education initiative targeting the girl-child in Northern Nigeria, we require the services of a qualified and experienced person who has passion for work in basic education; gender, HIV/AIDS for this position.

 

 

Position: Monitoring & Evaluation Officer (1 position) Abuja

 

Key Responsibilities:

The M & E (Officer shall perform the following functions, but not limited to:

  1. Design and implement Monitoring and Evaluation plans for programmes and projects
  2. Harmonizing quarterly, bi-annual and annual M & E report for project activities
  3. Review monitoring reports to assess impact and challenges in project implementation
  4. Undertake field visits to monitor implementation of activities and produce progress reports while highlighting major gaps for results based capacity building
  5. Analysis of the quality and reliability of available data
  6. Actively participate in the drafting of proposals with clear M & E components, in the monitoring of results and evaluation of programmes/projects and reporting on the progress.
  7. Collects and review indicators and data requirement for the M & E frameworks and applies appropriate tools for data collection, integration and dissemination.
  8. Assess trends and measure outcomes relating to achieving project activities.
  9. Develop and update clearly defined SMART indicators for each project outcome
  10. Develop and compile tools, systems and procedures for regular monitoring and evaluation.
  11. Introduction of new approaches and methods for monitoring and evaluation of programmes and interventions in the organization
  12. In collaboration with management, identify training needs for capacity building in monitoring and evaluation of programme staff.
  13. Keeping the general Database of the Organisation
