Vacancies: Procurement Officer, IT Officer

We are a World Class Manufacturing Company with a modern automated Fabricating and Galvanizing Steel Plant in Nigeria. We currently require the services of experienced and articulate candidates for the following positions:

 

Position: Procurement Officer

Qualification, Experience, Skills and Competency

  • Applicants should have B.sc in Purchasing & Supply or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a purchasing officer in a  manufacturing  concern
  • MS Word and Excel Skills
  • Strong negotiating  and organizational skills

 

Principal Duties  and Responsibilities

  • Procuring  of materials for all the company functions
  • Contribute in ensuring right qualities to the end  users
  • Participate in selection of suitable suppliers of materials
  • Active participation in the areas of preparation and  issuance of enquiries, administration of bid, tender or quotation, negotiation, expediting and delivery of purchases
  • Participate in the monthly stock count of materials
  • Evaluate purchasing needs of the factory and coordinate with the plant managers
  • Provide recommendation using life-cycle costing through market research and analysis
  • Expediting outstanding  deliveries and keep end-users in formed
  • Resolve invoice disputes in conjunction with Accounts payable

 

Position: Administration Officer

Qualification, Experience, Skills and Competency

  • Applicants should have First degree or its equivalent in any discipline
  • Three to Five (3-5) years’ relevant experience
  • Good understanding of the company’s operations and business
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Well developed problem solving skills
  • Ability to supervise and manage peoples
  • Excellent customer service orientation

Ability to manage multiple priorities and function effectively under pressure

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage company assets including the following
  • Vehicles- requisitioning, management and tracking of operations and maintenance
  • Coordinate running of company official residences and ensure provision of equipment and  materials for efficient working environment
  • Coordinate and maintain housekeeping services
  • Track and maintain servicing of all facilities i.e electricity, water (office and residences).
  • Supervise cleaners and front desk activities to ensure that the office environment and atmosphere is conducive to enhancing  staff productivity
  • Manage distribution of utilities bills and collection of accounts
  • Arrange for permits and licenses for official vehicles
  • Stationery stock inventory, issuing and documentation
  • DSTV/Air card subscription/Monitoring
  • Daily fuel consumption database
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Supervising Manager

 

Position: IT Officer

Qualification, Experience, Skills and  Competency

  • Applicants should have First degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Two to Five (2-5) years relevant experience
  • Good understanding of global leading practices in information management
  • Working knowledge of network architecture, design  and management, LAN and WAN management
  • Strong knowledge of network security and data networks .
  • Advanced understanding of database administration
  • Proficiency in relevant operating systems
  • In-depth understanding of server network, protocols, and internet Intranet applications
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • have good knowledge of logics
  • should be an organized person

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the computer, servers and network in the IT department.
  • Maintaining and setting up the hardware and softwares required.
  • Diagnosing,  repairing the failed computer hardware and meet the requirements of the RMAs and ROM’s
  • Maintain a backup system for both the file servers and the  office computers
  • Keeping up with the new developments and trends in the field of computers
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks; talking staff/clients through a series of actions, either face to face over the telephone
  • Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving  hardware/software faults;
  • Replacing parts as required;
  • Providing support, including procedural documentation
  • Following diagrams and written instructions to repairs a fault or set up a system
  • Setting up new users’ accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues
  • Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
  • Prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time
  • Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with customers and  other  professionals (e.g, software developer);
  • Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
