Position:     Project Manager – Technical and Vocational Education and Training: (Ref: 7-PMTVET2012)

Location: Lagos

Job Outline:

To structure, staff, plan, and execute a local TVET programme according to strict deadlines and within budget

Responsibility

  • To build, manage and implement a TVET program in Nigeria, from the point of project charter through the early and full implementation phases.
  • Conduct needs assessment to understand business and community needs in relation to TVET.
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Liaise with global and local project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
  • Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Work closely with the Global TVET Team and Corporate Responsibility Group, ensuring project appropriate alignment with CMI objective.
  • Determine and assess need for additional consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during project cycle.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members etc.

Requirement

  • Bachelors or Technical degree
  • Masters in Project Management or a related field
  • Management / Business qualification: – Desirable
  • Local language skills will be an additional benefit.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiating skills
  • Experience developing and managing local private and public partnerships (other firms, non-profits, educational institutions, governments
  • Some knowledge of public (government) technical and vocational certification, monitoring, and reporting requirements
  • Education or employee training experience helpful
  • Multi-lingual preferred
  • Experience with basic finance and budgeting
  • Proven managerial skills and ability to motivate team members to deliver
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint minimum)
  • Work experience in engineering, mechanics, or other technical job with ability to build training programs based on manufacturing and service skills needs.
  • Proposal writing skills

 

 

Position:     Service Advisor: (Ref: 8-SVCAD-2012)

Job Outline:

To ensure effective supervision and operation of the Service Administration Department by providing full technical and operational support to customers, administrators and technicians.

 

Responsibility

  • To correctly translate the Customer’s definition of the problem into Company’s technical language to aid downstream diagnostics and parts availability, with the aim of achieving service initiative targets.
  • Provides full Technical Support to all relevant staff, customers and dealers as required, and act as local single point contact for Technical Department.
  • Regular (daily, weekly & monthly) reviews of team performance with Engineer-in-Charge. Senior Engineers and Service Writer, to ensure performance targets are being met
  • Ensures improvement/development plans are in place to correct any Operational “off plan” or performance issues etc.

 

Requirement

  • Proven record of relevant Management skills Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures
  • Must be able to motivate people at all levels Knowledge of Quality procedures
  • Proven man-management skills Relevant product knowledge
  • Technical knowledge gained in a similar industry
  • Technical Qualification Essential
  • Management / Business qualification Desirable / Willing to study external courses. Driving License; Essential
  • Candidates must have HND or equivalent
