Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position in Polytechnic of Sokoto State, Sokoto.
Position: Rector
Duties:
The Rector is the Chief Academic and Administrative Officer of the Polytechnic. He is responsible to the Polytechnic Governing Council for ensuring the fulfillment of the objectives of the Polytechnic and for maintaining and promoting efficiency and good discipline in the Polytechnic.
Qualification and Experience:
- Candidates must possess at least a Master’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Business Administration, or any other relevant field offered conventionally by a Polytechnic from a recognized University plus at least ten (10) years of Teaching and Administrative Experience.
- Candidates should have a very good overall performance with a record of academic and administrative competence as well as concrete evidence of contribution to the advancement of knowledge and service to community.
- Possession of PhD, membership of Professional Bodies and Computer Literacy will be an added advantage.
Terms of Appointment
Successful candidate shall be appointed for a term of four (4) years in the first instance and may be eligible for reappointment for a second term of four (4) years, based on satisfactory performance.
Salary:
The salary for the position is consolidated and the appointee shall be paid other benefits as may be approved from time to time by the Sokoto State Government.
