Registrar at Auchi Polytechnic

Auchi Polytechnic, a first generation and well established Federal Polytechnic with the functions of providing technology education, training and development of techniques, has vacancy for the position below:

 

Position: Registrar

Candidates for the position must demonstrate evidence of strong administrative leadership, initiative and creativity in policy formulation, good human relations and positive managerial skills.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • A good honours degree in arts or social sciences or other relevant disciplines from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Possession of higher degree will be an added advantage.
  • At least 17years post-qualification experience.
  • Relevant administrative experience not below the rank of Deputy
  • Registrar or cognate senior management position.
  • Must be ICT proficient
  • Command respect of the immediate and extended communities.
  • Full membership of relevant professional body.

 

Duties

The Registrar shall perform the following duties:

  • Be in charge of the Registry Department
  • Be responsible to the Rector for the day-to-day administration of the Polytechnic,
  • Function as Secretary to the Academic Board.
  • Function as Secretary to Governing Council.
  • Function as Secretary to other Statutory Committees.
  • Be responsible for keeping of all records in the Polytechnic.
  • Be responsible for issuing Certificates of Service.
  • Perform any other functions as may be assigned by the Rector from time to time

 

Terms  of  Appointment and  Other  Conditions  of Service

Salary Contediss 15 (N4,047, 462.00 –N5.305,720.00)

Other fringe benefits attached to the office of the Registrar are as obtainable in the  conditions of service for Federal Polytechnics in Nigeria

The tenure of the office of the Registrar shall be for a period of five (5) years effective from the date of appointment and may be renewed for a further term of five (5) years except otherwise decided.
