The Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria (PPFN) is a rational non-government organization promoting Reproductive Health (RH) in Nigeria. As a full member of the international Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), (PPFN) has expanded the scope of its programs beyond family planning to cover broad reproductive health and HIV/AIDA.  (PPFN) seeks suitably qualified candidates for the following vacant positions:

 

Post: Research & Evaluation Officer

 

Location: Abuja

Responsibilities:

The purpose of this position is to support the coordination efforts in research and evaluation with particular emphasis on strengthening the research and evaluation component of the Global Fund Project for improved and sustained program performance.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Applied or Social Sciences or other relevant fields
  • Three years relevant work experience including less than two years in NGO (preferably in RH).
  • Excellent contextual, analytical, writing and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with key national programs and international implementing support and donor organizations in SRH.
  • Computer proficiency skills in the use of software packages: SSPS, EPI INFO, etc.
  • Experience in research experience (design, data collection and analysis, and survey methods).
  • Familiarity with socio-cultural issues as they relate to RH in the country and Sensitive to cross-cultural issues and concerns
  • Demonstrable capacity to develop methodologies and provide support in key thematic areas.

 

 

Post: Commodity & Logistics Officer

Responsibilities:

The purpose of this position is to provide support in general administration and logistics to enhance efficient implementation of the Fund Round 9 Project in the overall SRH program implementation of the organization.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree/HND in Business Administration, Social Sciences or equivalent.
  • Three years relevant work experience
  • Excellent communication, conceptual and analytical, skills including effective inter-personal relationship with a diverse range of colleagues and partners.
  • Advanced Computer Skill
  • Highly organized, able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize workload and ‘multi-tasking.
  • Hands-on knowledge of procurement/stores management especially those of key national international implement, support and donor organizations in reproductive health
  • Good knowledge of NGO operations particularly those in reproductive health including family planning, maternal and child health sexual health and women development, program development and management.
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies will be an advantage.
