A State Government Development Agency requires competent persons, capable of providing professional performance with good team mindset for the following positions below:

Position:     Senior Officer, Planning (Building Technologist) (Ref 196/12)

Responsibilities:

• Designs and drafts Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical and site plans using computerized and standardized drafting techniques according to applicable codes, bylaws, regulations, specifications and standards
• Prepares preliminary project budgets and cost estimates for submission to the supervisor
• Reviews and approves consultants’ building plans and specifications to ensure they meet standards and needs
• Maintains and updates building plans, technical information, catalogues, drawings and other related information.
• Performs other assigned comparable or transient duties which are within the area of knowledge and skills required by this job description

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 7 years relevant experience
• Candidates must have HND in Building Technology or related fields
• A combination of training, education and experience in Development Control procedures and practices
• Relevant professional qualification(s) will be an added advantage

Position:     Officer, Planning (Public Health Technologist) (Ref 197/12)

Responsibilities

• Develops and presents public health education programmes.
• Assists in the investigation of illness outbreaks, injuries and environmental conditions
• Responds to public health nuisances, indoor air violation complaints and public health emergencies.
• Conducts reviews of written plans related to operations, construction designs and facility corrections

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates must have HND /Bachelor’s degree in Public Health Technology, Environmental Technology or any related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
• Relevant professional qualification(s) will be an added advantage

ICT proficiency is mandatory for all positions.
