We are currently seeking to strengthen our management team through the appointment of an experienced and hardworking industry professional to fill the position below:
Position: Shipping, Clearing and Forwarding Manager (Ref: MSF/111/SCFM)
Responsibility
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will oversee the company’s shipping, clearing and forwarding operations. Your key responsibilities will include liaising with existing and new clients on assignments, coordinating the company’s shipping activities including Ship’s Chandelling, keep company abreast of Port regulatory policies and publications, as well as the ‘ supervision of the entire operations staff to ensure maximum effectiveness and productivity.
Qualification and Experience
- Aged 35 – 40 years, you will be degree qualified in Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline. A professional shipping qualification will be an added advantage
- You must have a minimum of two years’ managerial experience working in shipping, export/import, cargo movement/clearing operations or a similar field.
- You will have a track record of success in managing operations and strong management skills.
- Computer literacy and a good working knowledge of common office productivity tools are essential.
Remuneration
