Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) is a non-profit organization that promotes socio-economic development by supporting global health and economic initiatives in Nigeria. AHNi was established as an affiliate of FHI 360 Nigeria to sustain her achievements in strengthening indigenous organizational capacity in Nigeria. We are seeking qualified candidates for the following positions that are contingent on award:

Position: Team Leader

(Program Management Department)

  • The Team Leader forms part of the strategic team that directs the operations of AHNI Nigeria in assigned zones. H/She is responsible for program planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the interventions implemented by AHNI and its partners in the assigned zone. H/She is accountable for judicious use of all resources entrusted with AHNI and its partners in the assigned zone.

Minimum Recruitment Standards:

  • BS/BA in public health, business administration, health sciences, behavioral sciences or its recognized equivalent with 7 – 9 years of relevant experience with international development programs. Or MS/MA degree in public health, business administration, health sciences, behavioral sciences or its recognized equivalent with 5- 7 years relevant experience with international development programs. Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is required.

Position: Senior Technical Officer (Sustainability (CSS/HSS)

(Sustainability, Community and Health Systems Strengthening Department)

No. Required: (1)

Locations: Lagos

  • The Senior Technical Officer (Sustainability, Community & Health
  • Systems Strengthening) will provide technical leadership in the planning, implementation and monitoring of AHNI Nigeria’s community and health systems initiatives. S/he will provide technical support to implement high quality service and support activities with primary focus on care and support in the community. S/he will contribute to AHNI’s provision of technical assistance to the Ministry of Health at all levels to develop/review, implement and monitor health systems policies and strategies.

Minimum Recruitment Standards:

  • BS/BA in management, social sciences, public health or a related field with
  • 7-9 years post national youth service corps experience in applied health policy and health systems analysis. Or MS/MA in management social
  • Sciences, public health or a related field with 5-7 years post national youth service corps experience in applied health policy and health systems analysis. Or MBBS/MD/PhD with 3-5 years post national youth service corps experience in applied health policy and health systems analysis. Minimum of 3 years experience working with PLHA and support groups of PLHA. Possession of an MPH or post graduate degree in related field is an advantage. Familiarity with Nigerian public sector health systems and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable. Proven practical experience in budget development and analysis is desirable.
