We are a leading and reputable Indigenous non-governmental organization implementing a comprehensive family focused HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment in partnership with the different tiers of the Government of Nigeria at national, state, local and site levels, in line with the broadened scope and objectives of our work, the need for increased staff capacity around new and enlarged areas of focus have emerged. We therefore require the services of resourceful, experienced and dynamic professionals for the following positions.

Responsibilities

  • The Capacity Building Manager will be responsible for implementing a comprehensive institutional strategy in Human Resources for Health that addresses the link between Human Resource Management and Leadership to performance in FP/RH, HIV/AIDS, MCH, malaria and TB services
  • The successful candidate will provide candidate will provide organizational leadership in capacity building, leadership development and health system strengthening, including institutionalizing human resources for health activities by introducing HRH models at state/local government and facility levels
  • He/she will oversee the development, implementation and dissemination of state of the art practices to build the capacity of health institutions and scale up training of health workers
  • The incumbent will lead the organizational development process targeted at state and facility level to build required Human Resource Management and leadership capacity required in achieving sustainable and improved health outcomes in the target states.

 

Minimum Qualification

  • Candidates should have Advanced degree in Economics, Business or Public Health,  or relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 8 years experience  in a  training, program management  or organizational development  role in a  similar setting
  • Excellent  understanding and knowledge of working in resource limited settings
  • Mastery of donor regulations especially US government funding regulations required
  • Proven strategic  planner and team leader with strong technical knowledge, conceptual and analytical ability
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, including  public speaking
  • Fluency in English.

 

Position: Clinical Services Officer-Adult Treatment

Location: Akwa Ibom

Responsibilities

  • The incumbent would provide technical support for multidisciplinary HIV/AIDS care and treatment, working with organization clinicians and health facility based site teams to implement care and treatment services especially in adult treatment
  • As part of a team, review existing models of care to be applied to improving patient care, patient flow, medical records, etc
  • Initiating, mentoring and enhancing care and treatment services at sites
  • Participate in the development and review of training curricula in specified areas for site staff on clinical management of HIV/AIDS
  • Providing on- going mentoring and hands-on supervision to site clinicians, serving as a resource for service delivery evaluation
  • Developing and refining program materials such as clinical guidelines, protocols, algorithms, drug formularies and training materials
  • Represent the organization and liaising with State Government officials and partner organizations as designated by the State Program Manager.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Advanced Medical Degree (MD preferred)
  • 5 years  clinical experience in HIV/AIDS care and treatment especially in adult treatment Excellent knowledge of clinical issues and current literature in HIV/AIDS treatment  Experience in developing country health care programs
  • Experience in training excellent interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

 

General Requirements:

All positions require candidates that are  proficient  in the use  of Microsoft  Office  suite of computer applications and internet/Emails.

Significant amounts of travels are required for all positions
