Chemonics International is recruiting for a Junior South East Value Chain Advisor on a USAID-funded project focused on agricultural value chain promotion, enhancing access to inputs and credit, and promoting opportunities for women and vulnerable groups. Chemonics seeks individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of the Nigerian people and who demonstrate leadership, versatility, and integrity in their work.
Position: Agriculturist
Qualified candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:
- Minimum of B.Sc or HND in Agriculture or other related discipline
- At least 2 years experience working in rice and other crops in Nigeria
- Experience in the management of model farms, demonstration events and agricultural extension with emphasis on adult learning
- Excellent communication skills in English and Igbo
- Knowledge of computer and MS office applications
- Willingness to be based in Awka, working in Anambra and Ebonyi states
