Chief Operating Officer at a Real Estate Development Company

Our Company is a frontline Real Estate development provider offering and managing qualitative and affordable real estate properties in Nigeria and beyond. Due to changes in the corporate structure, the company is seeking to recruit a position for our office in Bayelsa State. The successful candidate will be required to be resident in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State and must be an achievement driven individual with an excellent track record to take charge of the company’s business and operation. The individual will be tasked with the responsibility of

 

Position:     Chief Operating Officer (COO)

  • Developing the overall strategic direction of the company in terms of vision, and the attainment of strategic goals and objectives.
  • Taking charge of delivery of the entire operations of the company which is involved in -multi-million naira construction projects that have significant civil engineering components.
  • Driving the company’s performance and achieving sustainable profit and growth, as dictated by the overall strategy agreed by the Board of the Company.
  • Ensure that civil construction projects and other projects are optimally designed, executed, monitored and commissioned within budget and time frame according to international standards and world class engineering operational strategy and practice
  • Advise the board on strategic business developments, policy, budget and make major business decisions

 

Successful candidates who meet the following criteria listed below are encouraged to apply in strict confidence.

  • A good first degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from a reputable global institution is required. An MBA would be an added advantage
  • At least. 15 years of related working experience as a developer and or Real Estate Manager. Local experience in the Nigerian Market is also relevant. Experience should include planning, budgeting, executing, monitoring and cash flow management of complex construction projects
  • Training and certification on project Management, CAD and Microsoft office/Prima Vera (PMO) will be an advantage
  • Must have a good understanding of the relevant applications and software or methodologies for constant improvement in speed, reliability and quality in the delivery of projects.
  • Must have strong negotiation and management capacity, excellent customer relationship management ability, project and change management skills, self motivated, diligent and enthusiastic with a winning mentality.
  • Ability to oversee and manage several projects concurrently.
