Consultants at Management Sciences for Health

Management Sciences for Health (MSH) saves lives and improves health, especially among the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people, by closing the gap between knowledge and action in public health. MSH is currently implementing three projects in Nigeria. One of the projects is known as Program to Build Leadership and Accountability in Health sector (PLAN Health).

 

PLAN Health is a USAID-financed program to strengthen the institutional capacity of the Government of Nigeria and Civil Society Organizations for improved HIV/AIDS and associated health services. To achieve this goal, PLAN-Health has two broad, but related, strategic goals:

 

(1)             Provide support and technical assistance to government agencies actively involved in the development and implementation of health policies and their respective frameworks; and

(2)             Develop local expertise to improve HIV/AIDS and other health services through strengthened institutional capacity in Nigeria.

 

Management Sciences for Health is looking for potential consultants who are competent in the areas of expertise listed below and can work in all or any of the following states: Akwa Ibom, FCT and Gombe.

1.       Financial Management:

Requirements: Audit experience, Professional Accounting Qualification, experience using different accounting software; Capacity Building experience.

 

2.       Human   Resources   for   Health   (HRH) –   Workforce   Planning   and Management, HRH mitigation Strategies

 

3.      M & E and Operations Research;

Requirements: Extensive experience in qualitative and quantitative research, designing M & E plan, Frameworks and using of statistical software like SPSS, STATA or EPI – INFO etc.

 

4.       Joint Annual Review (JAR) of National Strategic Health Development Plan (NSHDP) & State Startegic Health Development Plan

 

5.       Health   Management   Information   System   (HMIS)-Comprehensive    knowledge of NHMIS, DHIS 2.0

 

6.       Resource Mobilization

7.       Comprehensive knowledge of NSHDP and Nigeria Public health

8.       Deployment of e-health/development of e-health policy

9.       Web Developer

10.    Information Management System (IMS), Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

11.              Data Management for public health projects/programmes

Requirement: Creating database training on Data Management.

12.    Health Care Financing with a focus on Community Based Health Insurance

13.    Research on best practices on service delivery and Health System Strengthening (HSS)

14.    Research (Client Satisfaction Survey)

15.    Experience in developing programme/project monitoring “Dashboard”-focus on Global fund

16.    Developing leadership and management skills in health professionals

17.    Strategic Communications Consultancy (editorial and generation of visibility materials)

18.    Quality Assurance for HIV/AIDS services

19.    Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) of Health programmes/projects The
