RTI International, through the Northern Nigeria Education Initiative (NEI) seeks a qualified Data Collection Support Technician to oversee data capture for an upcoming learning assessment in Bauchi and Sokoto States. The work is expected to take place between April-July 2013 and to require approximately 35 days of labor.
Tasks:
The consultant will be expected to:
(1) Help train data collectors on electronic data collection software and hardware (2) Conduct daily quality control checks during data collection; and
(3) Provide trouble-shooting support on software and hardware issues.
RTI will provide the consultant with in-person training and remote support regarding the software and hardware that will be used.

Required Qualifications:
- At least five years’ experience in technical support/IT helpdesk support. Experience with supervision of data collection and data quality control preferred.
- The consultant should also be familiar with the use of electronic tablets, local wireless network configuration, and should have advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
