Vacancies: Fabricator, Loading Supervisor, Mechanical Technician
Our client is a large building material producing organization with state of the are plant located in the south-south part of Nigeria. It is currently expanding its production capacity in order to remarkably increase its market share. To achieve its goal and sustain it. It is seeking to complement its pool of talents by employing highly focused and motivated individuals to fill the positions below:
Position: Fabricator (Ref. F)
Job Purpose/Specification:
- To prepare periodic fabrication requirements and keep fabrication record.
- To periodically carry out predictive and preventive maintenance
- To mark out and cut work places.
- To assist in production/manufacturing of parts and structures
- To effectively handle welding work.
- To liaise with machinist in producing machine parts
- To carry out any other responsibility that may be assigned by Foreman or Engineer.
Educational Qualification, Skills and Experience:
- Applicant must possess ND in Mechanical Engineering, City and Guilds or SSCE/NABTEB/ Trade Test.
- Must possess good written and oral communication skills
- Must be experienced in studying and executing structural drawings.
- Must be proficient in calculating materials that will be used for assigned jobs
- Must possess wide knowledge of machining process, fabrication process and erection Must be able to work under pressure.
- Should have at least 5 years relevant experience.
Position: Loading Supervisor (Packing Plant) – Ref: LS
Job Purpose/Specification:
- To supervise loading activities and ensure timely loading of cement into trucks at the packing plant.
- To ensure PPE compliance of contractors, drivers and conductors.
- To ensure trucks are not overloaded or under loaded.
- To optimize operating procedures based on findings and explain event to shift workers (Shift Leader, Operators contractors).
- To manage loading and housekeeping of contractors,
- To carry out any other responsibility that may he assigned by the Head of department.
Educational Qualification, Skills and Experience:
- Applicants must have ND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, City and Guilds or any other related qualification,
- Must possess technical knowledge in conveyor and bag loading system,
- Must possess leadership, training and effective communication skills.
- Must possess operative and logistic control skills
- Proficiency in computer would be an added advantage.
- At least 1 year experience as a supervisor in a cement manufacturing industry.
Position: Mechanical Technician (Ref: MT)
Job Purpose/Specification:
- To carry out mechanical maintenance on plant machineries such belt conveyors, Screw conveyors, separators, vertical roller mills, ball mills, kiln, cooler, filter bags, hydraulic system, pneumatic system air blower, air sluices, air slides, chain bucket elevators, DPC. Hammer, crusher, slacker & reclaimer etc
- To handle drive alignments & bearings replacement and assess the condition of equipment
- To execute planned and unplanned maintenance
- To assemble and repair spare parts
- To keenly observe malfunctioning equipment and take corrective measures.
Educational Qualification, Skills and Experience:
- Candidate must possess ND in Mechanical Engineering, City and Guilds or any related qualification.
- Must possess good written and oral communication skills, analytical skills and ability to understand mechanical reactions.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must be a good team player
- Must be able to take decision after risk analysis, transfer knowledge and work under pressure.
- Should have at least 2 years relevant technical experience in manufacturing /cement industry.
