Position: Chief Security Officer
A Chief Security Officer is answerable to the Provost
Qualification:
A Candidate must possess any one of the following qualifications:-
- Holder of LLB or Degree in criminology with 3 year post qualification experience from recognized University
- Holder of HND in criminology with 3 years post qualification experience from recognized institution of learning
- A retired Chief Superintendent of Police or its equivalent
Duties
The College Chief Security Officer will perform the following:
- Supervision of the overall College Security Unit
- Advises the Provost on security matters
- Assists the Provost in the maintenance of law and order in the College
- Liase with Police and other security agencies i.e. SSS, CIB, Vigilant etc on behalf of College
- Any other related assignment that may be assigned to him by the higher authority
Condition of Service
A successful candidate will be on a two (2) years probationary period for serving civil servants after which his appointment will be confirmed with satisfactory service. As for contract officers, the appointment will be for a two (2) years period and is renewable if his performance is satisfactory.
Salary Scale
The approved salary for the Chief Security Officer is CONTIDESS11 plus other remunerations
