Position: Director of Physical Planning

 

Position & Responsibility

The Director of Physical Planning is the head of the Physical Planning Unit of the University.

  • Responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the co-ordination and supervision of the physical/infrastructural development of the University by ensuring that all such development projects, conform strictly with the specifications of the Institution’s Master plan.

 

Qualifications

The candidate must possess:

  • A good honours Degree in any of the following Architecture, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or in other related fields
  • The candidate must also be a registered and current member of any of the relevant professional bodies e.g Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA), Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON), Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN), Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) or Nigerian Institute of Quality Surveyors (NIQS) as appropriate
  • The candidate should be ICT literate
  • And not more than fifty-five (55) years of age.
  • Possession of a higher degree in the relevant field of Specialization and Fellowship of any of the specialized bodies, will be an added advantage.

 

Experience

The candidate must have at least thirteen (13) years post-qualification experience, (10) of which should be cognate in a University or Institution(s) of similar status

 

Salary/Condition of Service:

The Salary and conditions of service shall be as obtainable in the Nigerian University system the appointment would be for one term of five (5) years only.

 

 

Position: Chief Security Officer

 

Position and Responsibility

The Chief Security Officer of the University is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the Security of lives and property in the Institution: ensures the effective co-ordination of security in and around the university and liaises with extended security agencies in the discharge of the duties of the office.

 

Qualifications

Academic Qualification

A prospective candidate must posses a minimum of a First Degree or its equivalent

 

Professional Qualification

An interested candidate must be a senior serving or retired Service Personnel of the rank of Major or its equivalent in the Armed Forces, State Security Services or the Police.

 

Salary/Conditions of Service

The Salary and Conditions of service shall be as obtainable in the Nigerian University system. The appointment would be for one term of five (5) years only.
