Elizade University is a private institution located in Ilara-Mokin, a town ten kilometers from Akure, the capital city of Ondo State, South West, Nigeria.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Foundation Deans in the two take-off Faculties of the University.
Position: Foundation Deans
The take-off Faculties are:
- The Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences
- The Faculty of Humanities and Management Sciences.
- The search is on for two distinguished academics to serve as pioneer Deans of these Faculties.
- The Dean will provide intellectual leadership to his/her Faculty. Working closely with the Vice-Chancellor and other Senior University Staff, he/she will take full responsibility for implementing the academic plans and programmes for his/her Faculty and contributing to the realization of the Vision of the University.
The responsibilities of the Dean will include:
- Steering and contributing to the development and continued enhancement of curricula for programmes in the Faculty to meet International standards.
- Establishing and maintaining high academic and ethical standards among staff and students in the Faculty at all times
- Managing the resources and budget of the Faculty in line with University resource commitments and key performance targets.
- Maintaining a balanced workload of teaching, research and public service.
- Cultivating a rich network of scholars in his/her area of specialization, thereby attracting international research interest and funding to his/her Faculty and the University as a whole.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned to him/her as may be consistent with the realization of the Vision of the University.
The Person
- A Ph.D degree in any of the disciplines in the respective Faculty and an active academic career with a rank of professor in a reputable University.
- A minimum of ten years full-time teaching and research experience.
- Evidence of administrative leadership, including service as Dean. Head of Department or Provost of College in a University setting-
- Excellent physical and mental health and an enterprising spirit.
- A team player capable of providing leadership in a collegiate multi-cultural setting.
The Offer
The appointment is for an initial period of three (3) years and renewable for another term.
