Taraba State University invites applications from suitable qualified candidates for the post below: –
FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE
Position: Professor (COUNASS07)
Qualified candidates are expected to apply for any of the listed posts in the following Department/Specialization.
- Department of Agric Economics and Extension
- Department of Agronomy
- Department of Animal Science
General Requirement/Qualification:
- Posses a Doctorate degree in the relevant field and
- have sound knowledge in teaching and research experience in a University not less than six (6) years Lecturer and twelve (12) years for professor,
- Applicants must have substantial scholarly publications in reputable academic journals, and registration with relevant professorial bodies where necessary e.g. COREN, Teachers’ Registration Council etc.
- Applicants must in addition demonstrate ability to initiate develop and sustain research projects and leadership and the positions in Collage of Health Science must MBBS degree from a recognized University.
Position: Associate Professor (COUNASS06)
Qualified candidates are expected to apply for any of the listed posts in the following Department/Specialization.

Position: Senior Lecturer (COUNASSG5)
Qualified candidates are expected to apply for any of the listed posts in the following Department/Specialization.

Position: Lecturer I (COUNASS04)
Qualified candidates are expected to apply for any of the listed posts in the following Department/Specialization.

General Requirement/Qualification:
- Must possess a minimum of Master’s degree in the relevant field and three (3) teaching experience in a University or similar institution.
- Applicants without Doctorate degree required six (6) years teaching and research experience.
Position: Lecturer II (CQUNASS03)
Qualified candidates are expected to apply for any of the listed posts in the following Department/Specialization.

General Requirement/Qualification:
- Must possess Doctorate degree in the relevant field will be given preference.
Position: Asst Lecturer (COUNASS02)
Qualified candidates are expected to apply for any of the listed posts in the following Department/Specialization.

General Requirement/Qualification:
- Must possess a minimum of Master’s degree in the relevant field and three (3) teaching experience in a University or similar institution.
Conditions of Service
Successful candidates will be required to assume duty as soon as possible. Conditions of service are similar to those obtainable in Nigerian University system.
