FACULTY OF ARTS
Department of English Past
Position: Professor

Area of Specialisation
- African Literature
Qualifications
- The Candidates who must already be a Professor must have had up to Twenty (20) publication, five (5) of the total number of publications should be offshore (15 of which must be journal articles). Ability to supervise a minimum of one Ph.D student or three Masters’ students.
Position: Reader
Area of Specialization
- Literature in the Diaspora

Qualifications
- The candidate who must already be a Reader for at least three (3) years must have a Ph.D degree in relevant field with evidence of outstanding and continuing achievement/teaching experience in a University. Fifteen (15) publications in reputable international and national journals. Ability to supervise a minimum of one Masters or Ph.D student.
Position: Senior Lecturer
CONUASS 5 (=N= 1.653.414.96 – =N=2,360,298.96)
Area of Specialization
- English Language Studies
Qualifications
- The candidate must have a Ph.D degree or its equivalent in the relevant field from a recognized institution plus six (6) years post qualification teaching and research experience.
- The candidate must also have a minimum of seven (7) publications in reputable Journals with evidence of continuous research and ability to supervise graduate students.
