Vacancies exist for outstanding Academic and Non Academic Staff in the College of Management and Information Technology of the American International University, West Africa, The Gambia Campus.
The Positions are as follows:
DEPARTMENT OF ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE
Position: Professor (in Accounting and Finance)
Qualifications
- Candidate will have at least 10 – 20 years teaching experience in a reputable university.
- Candidate must have PhD in a relevant discipline. Membership of an accounting professional body such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, ACA etc is required.
- Experience in and familiarity with American educational curricula is an advantage but not prerequisite.
Position: Senior Lecturer (in Accounting and Finance)
Qualifications
- Candidate will have at least 10 – 20 years teaching experience in a reputable university.
- Candidate must have PhD in a relevant discipline. Membership of an accounting professional body such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, ACA etc is required.

Position: Lecturer I (in Accounting and Finance)
Qualifications
- Ideal candidates will have a minimum of M.Sc or its equivalent in the relevant subjects and must have at least 5 years teaching experience in a reputable university.
- Possession of a professional certificate from a recognized professional body such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, ACA etc is required.
Position: Lecturer II (in Accounting and Finance)
Qualifications
- Ideal candidates will have a minimum of M.Sc or its equivalent in the relevant subjects and must have at least 5 years teaching experience in a reputable university.
- Possession of a professional certificate from a recognized professional body such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, ACA etc is required.
Position: Assistant Lecturer (in Accounting and Finance)
Qualifications
- Candidate will have a minimum of M.Sc or its equivalent in the relevant subjects and must have at least 2 years teaching experience.
- Possession of a professional certificate from a recognized professional body such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, ACA etc is required.
