Position:   Chief Engineer (Ref: HTD/113/CE)

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Administration, you will work with other managerial staff to ensure the smooth running of all engineering operations and projects. In this capacity, you will:

  • Oversee each phase of installation, equipment maintenance or product development in compliance with agreed specifications and regulations.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure the safety and reliability of the system
  • Work with team members to generate ideas and clarify solutions

 

The Person

  • Degree-qualified in civil, mechanical, electrical engineering or any related engineering discipline (possession of a relevant post-graduate discipline will be an advantage)
  • Minimum of 15 years’ hands-on experience, at least five of which must have been in a similar institution
  • Registration with relevant engineering bodies will be an advantage

 

Position: Principal Engineer (Mechanical Engineering) – Ref. HTD/113/PEM

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will work on the installation, maintenance, service and repair of various generating sets, diesel generator control systems and associated equipment including turbo chargers and fuel injection equipment. In this capacity, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out fault diagnosis and forward planning on assigned work/projects
  • Effecting the most economical, effective and productive layout of electrical installations
  • Ensuring that work performed under your control meets required standards

 

The Person

  • Degree-qualified in mechanical engineering or any related engineering discipline (possession of a relevant trade test certificate will be an advantage)
  • Minimum of 12 years’ hands-on experience assembling and maintaining high-power generators
  • Registration with relevant engineering bodies will be an advantage
