Vacancies: Chief Architect, Principal Engineer, Principal Quantity Surveyor
Applications are, hereby, invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the non-teaching vacancies in the following Department /units at the University of Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Physical Planning and Works
Position: Chief Architect
Salary Scale: (CONUSSS 13)
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a good honors degree in Architecture from a recognized University with twelve (12) years working experience plus membership of Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON); or
- Masters degree in Architecture from a recognized University with nine (9) years working experience, out of which three (3) years must be from a tertiary institution plus membership of ARCON. Cognate administrative experience is an added advantage.
Position: Principal Engineer (Civil, Mechanical and Electrical)
Salary Scale: (CONUSSS 11)
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a good honors degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Electrical) from a recognized University, with nine (9) years post-qualification experience plus registration with a recognized professional body.
Position: Principal Quantity Surveyor
Salary Scale: (CONUSSS 11)
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a good honors degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognized University plus nine (9) years post-qualification experience plus registration with a recognized professional body.
- Candidates must have HND in Quantity Surveying plus 12 years cognate experience and membership of Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS).
Note:
i. All candidates must possess one of the following as applicable:
(a) NYSC Discharge Certificate
(b) NYSC Exemption Certificate
(c) NYSC Certificate of Exclusion
ii. Salaries and Allowances attached to the various vacancies are the same with the approved Salary Scale for Federal Universities in Nigeria;
iii. Candidates who are awaiting results need not apply. Computer literacy is required for ail advertised positions.

xv. Honors/Distinctions;
xvi. Extra Curricular Activities;
xvii. Position applied for;
xviii. Names and addresses of three referees.
Candidates’ submissions should be forwarded in an envelope which should have the position applied for clearly indicated on its left-hand corner.
