Vacancies: Deputy Director of Works, Principal Engineer (Electrical)

Directorate of Works
Position: Deputy Director of Works
Salary Scale: Contiss 14 (1,820.908.00 – 2,381,772.00)
Note: Conditions of Service as generally applicable in the Nigerian University System and in the Public service in Nigeria. The appointment is pensionable.
Qualification and Experience
- Applicants must possess the following:
- A good honours degree in any field of Engineering from a recognized University
- Membership of COREN, in addition, the candidate must have, at least sixteen (16) years cognate Post-qualification working experience, most of which preferably should be in Engineering services relevant to a University Works Department.
Responsibility
The Deputy Director of Works shall work hand in hand with the Director of Works in the day-to-day administration of the University Works Department. The appointee should exhibit considerable ability to control and coordinate operations of engineering technical/professional nature in the University estate and should be able to take full responsibility of the Department in the absence of the Director of Works.
Position: Principal Engineer (Electrical)
Salary Scale: CONTISS 11 (N978,305.00-(N1,375,535.00)
Qualifications
The candidate must possess:
- A good Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, not below a Second Class Division;
- Must be registrable with the Nigerian Society of Engineers and Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) as well as possess the ability to perform within the University System;
- At least nine (9) years post-qualification cognate experience in a reputable organization.
