Vacancies: Director, Works and Services, Director, Medical Services, Director, Physical Planning
Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions at the Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State:
Position: Director, Works and Services (CONTIDESS15)
Responsibilities:
- Responsible to the Rector on the overall control of the Works and Services Department.
- Planning and Controlling the technical activities of the Department;
- Advising the Rector on acquisition, operation and maintenance of all Polytechnic assets.
- Keeping an inventory of all vehicles and laboratories and responsible for their maintenance servicing and up-keep; among other schedules and as may be assigned by the Rector.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should possess Degree in Civil/Structural, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Electronics Engineering and must be a registered Engineer with at least 15 years experience in project/works management, or
- A registered Engineer in Civil/Structural, Mechanical or Electrical Electronics Engineering with a master degree plus 12 years relevant experience.
Position: Director, Medical Services (CONTIDESS 15)
Responsibilities
- Takes sole charge of medical clinic
- Responsible to the Rector on the general administration of the Medical Department.
- Handling issues on National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) for staff and students, among other schedules and as may be assigned by the Rector
Qualifications:
- Must be a holder of M.B.B.S obtained from a recognized institution and registered with the Nigerian Medical Council Plus at least 15 years cognate experience; or
- A holder of a post-graduate qualification in medicine plus 12 years cognate experience.
Position: Director, Physical Planning (CONTIDESS15)
Responsibilities:
- Responsible to the Rector on the overall physical development in the institution.
- Planning and controlling the physical developmental activities of the Polytechnic;
- Advising the Rector on issues relating to physical development in the Polytechnic and any other duties as may be assigned by the Rector.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must possess MSc degree in Architecture or Civil/Structural engineering with at least 12 years cognate experience in project management or
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with at least 15 years cognate experience in project management.
- In any of the above, candidate must be registered with his/her relevant regulatory body.
